About Bexhill Museum

Bexhill Museum sits beside Egerton Park, close to the seafront in Bexhill-on-Sea, and tells the story of the town and the surrounding stretch of coast. Its galleries cover local history and archaeology, natural history, geology, dinosaurs and fossils, costume, and Bexhill's motor racing heritage. The museum is largely self-funding and relies on volunteers. It is a manageable visit for families, school groups and anyone curious about the area's past, and pairs well with time in the park or a walk along the promenade. It opens Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 4pm and is closed on Mondays. Events and special openings, such as holiday trails for children, are announced on its own website.
