Drusillas Park
Hands-on family zoo near Alfriston, welcoming visitors since 1925
About Drusillas Park
Drusillas Park sits just outside Alfriston at the foot of the South Downs. It has welcomed visitors since 1925, when it started life as a small tea room. Today it is a zoo built around younger families, with animals ranging from meerkats and penguins to lemurs and monkeys, and walkthrough enclosures that bring children close to many of them. Alongside the animals there are play areas, a Thomas the Tank Engine train ride and seasonal events through the school holidays. The park is open almost all year round, closing only over Christmas, with longer hours in the summer and school holidays.
